The Montessori method is an educational approach developed by Italian doctor Maria Montessori.
This method places great importance on children's independence and assumes that children, by nature, are eager to learn; furthermore, when provided with a sufficiently supportive and well-prepared learning environment, they have the ability to start learning on their own. Maria Montessori developed her theories through scientific experiments with her students in the early 1900s. Since then, this method has been used in many parts of the world, both in public and private schools.
