Course description
General Explanation
One of the most effective methods in understanding children and learning about their psychological structures is
drawing analysis. Young children, who may struggle to verbally express events and concepts during conversations, can more easily reflect them in their drawings. The scribbles made by a child who has reached a certain level of developmental maturity provide insights into their inner world and mental structure.
We should not just call the drawings made by children “pictures.” Through their drawings, children convey many things to us.
For example, some children draw family members in a straight line, while others may divide the page into two halves, placing one family member on the right side, another on the left side, themselves in the middle, or they may not draw anyone at all. They might place a figure like a house or a tree in the middle of the picture. In fact, every figure, line, and object drawn tells us many things, as long as you are a good observer, analyst, and interpreter.
With the Child Drawing Interpretation Training, you will analyze a drawing based on the way it is placed on the paper, how the page is used, direction, spatial perspective, proportions, colors, realism, the content of the drawing, and many other drawing characteristics.
